The starting point is a terrace in the heart of Treviso's historic center: a space already architecturally complete, part of a house with thoughtful interiors and quality furnishings, overlooking a secluded and quiet courtyard.
The project's goal is not to add, but to extend. The garden is conceived as a natural extension of the living room and kitchen to the outdoors, without competing with or overlapping with existing functions. The threshold between inside and outside becomes permeable: the large sliding glass doors become the filter through which greenery enters everyday life, even just with a glance.
The stylistic choice is that of the urban jungle, a dense, layered, botanically precise garden that gives the inhabitant the immediate sensation of being elsewhere.
Not an escape, but a return: to slowness, to silence, to oneself. The flowerbeds, laid out diagonally on the travertine paving, feature compositions of hostas, panicled hydrangeas, palmatums, and controversial cornflowers, plants with a strong scenic presence yet a quiet character, capable of creating a sense of protection and weightless contemplation.
